Ahmad Al-Kabbany

Ahmad Al-Kabbany is a seasoned professional in the fields of multimedia systems and intelligent technologies, currently serving as a Founding Member at the Multimedia Interaction and Communication Lab since January 2024. Ahmad founded VRapeutic in February 2017, taking on the role of CEO, and is a Founding Member of the Intelligent Systems Lab established in April 2018. With experience as an Adjunct Professor at Cairo University from October 2023 to February 2024, Ahmad taught a course on immersive technologies in healthcare. Prior research includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa focused on semi-supervised machine learning techniques for color naming, as well as significant contributions as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant during academic tenure at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Ahmad holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa and both an MSc and BSc from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
