Chad Newell

Chad Newell is an experienced executive and advisor with a strong background in managing and scaling businesses within the creative and technology sectors. Currently serving as the General Manager of Economy at VSCO® and a Mentor at Alchemist Accelerator, Chad Newell also holds the position of Strategic Advisor at Retain Capital, Inc. and Chairman of the Board at SW Media Holdings, Inc. Previously, Chad Newell served as the Chief Operating Officer at StudioNow and Chief Executive Officer of Snapwire, which exited to StudioNow in 2022. With roots in the digital content industry, Chad Newell co-founded Media Bakery and played a key role in the founding team of Getty Images' footage division. Newell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
