A. Scott Virgilio

A. Scott Virgilio has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. A. Scott began their career in the US Navy as a Senior Chief Boiler Technician, where they served for more than two decades. Following their service in the Navy, they joined Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, as a Senior Engineering Technician, responsible for weight/moment calculations and coordinating lifting and handling teams. A. Scott also served as a Database Administrator/Developer, managing multiple Microsoft Access databases and providing backup and recovery services.

After leaving Newport News Shipbuilding, Virgilio joined CACI as an Oracle Database Developer, specializing in the MFOM suite of applications. A. Scott was responsible for designing, implementing, coding, testing, and maintaining the Oracle 11g database code. A. Scott also developed release and master control scripts for scheduled deployments.

Currently, Virgilio works at VSolvit as an Assistant Project Manager for the MFOM family of systems. In this role, they oversee the day-to-day workflow, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and project scope. A. Scott is also responsible for managing and hiring staff.

Throughout their career, Virgilio has demonstrated strong skills in database management, project management, and technical expertise in various software platforms.

A. Scott Virgilio earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a specialization in Database Developer from Strayer University. In September 2020, they obtained the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. A. Scott also holds additional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner Credential (ACPM), Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist, Certified SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager, Certified SAFe® 6 Scrum Master, and SAFe agilest, though the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
