Karen Perkins

Karen Perkins has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Karen worked as a Business Systems Analyst and Business Strategy Analyst at VSolvit from October 2019 onwards. Prior to that, they were a Business Systems Analyst at Apex Systems, where they provided support for Anthem Provider Data Quality requirements and participated in testing and incident analysis for the launch of the North Carolina Medicaid Managed Care program. From 2002 to 2019, Karen worked as an IT Consultant at Perkins Consulting in Virginia Beach, where they promoted best practices for business process analysis and design in various industries including logistics, material management, health insurance, and financial services. Karen also had experience in CM/Quality Assurance and ISO/CMMI frameworks. During their time at CACI International Inc from August 2015 to August 2018, they worked as a Business Systems Analyst. Karen also worked as a Registered Representative at NYLIFE Securities LLC from July 2014 to August 2015. Karen's previous roles include working as an IT Consultant at Pinpoint IT Services, providing business analysis consulting for Swisslog, and as a Business Analyst at TEKsystems under CACI contract for the Space and Naval Warfare common maintenance systems development. Karen has also worked as a Project Consultant at Sears Home Improvements, where they received an award for top performers, and as a Licensed Agent at Primerica Financial Services (PFS), where they contracted life, accident/health/long term care insurance and financial services and received outstanding quality and sales awards.

Karen Perkins has a diverse education history. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Old Dominion University, majoring in Mathematics. In addition to their degree, they pursued further education and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Organization Development from Illinois Benedictine University.

Karen also completed several professional certificate programs. In 2014, they earned a certificate in Oracle Database SQL from Tidewater Community College. The same year, they pursued Information Technology studies at Tidewater Community College as well.

Furthermore, Karen received an Organization Development Certificate from Illinois Benedictine University Graduate School in 2000. This certification focused on Organizational Behavior.

To enhance their professional skills, Karen completed a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Professional Certificate in 2017 from the Six Sigma Global Institute.

Lastly, Karen attained a CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in November 2022.
