Tonja Candelaria

Tonja Candelaria is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in content management and public relations. Currently serving as Senior Content Manager at VSP Vision Care since September 2022, Tonja oversees the content strategy for the Individual Vision Plan, collaborating with agencies to create engaging marketing materials across various platforms. Previously, Tonja held the position of Communications Manager at VSP Vision Care, focusing on member communications, and served as Public Relations Coordinator at Sacramento Zoo, where essential messaging and media relations were developed. Tonja’s background includes roles as a Graduate Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of the Pacific, a Substitute Teacher, and a Shift Leader at Blockbuster Video. Tonja holds a Master’s degree in Communication with an emphasis on Public Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of the Pacific.
