Jason Girard

Jason Girard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and international development. Currently serving as a Program Officer for Climate & Environment at The Vermont Community Foundation since August 2025, Jason has a distinguished background, including a tenure as a Senior Associate in the Environment & Natural Resources Sector at Tetra Tech from February 2015 to June 2025, focusing on biodiversity and forest conservation in Latin America. Prior roles include Regional Environmental Officer for South America at USAID, Deputy Office Director in the Alternative Development Office in Colombia, and a Project Manager as a Presidential Management Fellow. Jason began a career in international service with the Peace Corps in Bolivia as an Agribusiness Volunteer. Jason holds a Master's degree in Social Change and Development from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Richmond.
