Monica Cortes

Monica Cortes, CPA has extensive work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Monica currently holds the position of Senior Vice President (SVP), Corporate Controller at VTS since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President (VP) and Corporate Controller at VTS from March 2021 to June 2023. Before joining VTS, they worked as the Senior Director, Corporate Controller at VTS from August 2019 to March 2021.

In 2018, Monica worked as a Senior Manager (Interim Controller - VTS, Inc.) at CFGI, a specialized financial consulting firm. Monica provided a range of financial services and support to companies in various roles, including Technical Accounting Advisor and CFO.

From 2013 to 2018, Monica was employed at PwC, where they held the position of Assurance Senior Manager. Monica also worked as an Assurance Manager at PwC from November 2013 to June 2014.

In the early stages of their career, Monica served as an Audit Manager at Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP from January 2010 to October 2013. Before that, they worked as a Senior at BDO USA, LLP from January 2005 to August 2009, and as a Senior at BDO LLP from November 2008 to May 2009.

Monica's career in accounting began at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP, where they worked as a Staff member from August 2002 to December 2004.

Monica Cortes, CPA, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Baruch College, which they earned from 1996 to 2001. Monica furthered their education by completing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Taxation at Baruch College from 2011 to 2012.
