Alfredo Mercedes is the founder of VU Talent Partners, a modern talent advisory and retained search firm embedded within VU Venture Partners. He leads the firm’s platform, GTM, and recruiting operations—helping startups hire with precision, speed, and strategic clarity.

Prior to launching VU Talent, Alfredo scaled partnerships at Defense Unicorns,driving adoption of the Airgap App Store across the defense tech landscape. He previously led executive GTM search at Daversa Partners, placing leadership teams at venture-backed companies in AI, SaaS, and cybersecurity.

Alfredo is also a former U.S. Marine Corps Reservist Chief of Staff and Infantryman, and Cleveland native.
