Marco D'Amore has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Marco started their career in 1996 as a partner at Ristorante d'amore Capri. In 2001, they worked in marketing at Charming Hotels until 2003. From 2004 to the present, they have held various positions at ErmesHotels, including CEO. In 2009, they founded SMSHotels, where they served as CEO until 2013. In 2010, they worked as an instructor at IHMA until 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they were an instructor at LUISS. In 2018, they became the CFO and board member of Lybra.tech Hotel Revenue Intelligence. In 2020, they became an adjunct professor at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, a position they held until December 2022. In 2022, they co-founded VUIT and served as an area finance co-founder. In 2023, they became a board member at Takyon.
Marco D'Amore's education history begins in 1995 when they attended the University of Naples 'Parthenope' and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, which they completed in 2001. In the following year, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in E-Business at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. Marco furthered their education in 2002 by attending Cornell University, where they studied Revenue Management for hotels and restaurants, earning a degree in Revenue Management. In 2020, Marco attended SDA Bocconi and focused on "FInanziare la Crescita Aziendale" as a field of study.
