Andrew Kuklinski has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Andrew is currently working as a Senior Hardware Engineer at VulcanForms Inc. starting from June 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Controls Engineer at Desktop Metal from June 2017 to April 2020. In this role, Andrew was responsible for designing, building, bringing up, and maintaining the control system for an industrial-scale, binder jet, metal 3D printer. Andrew also collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement functional requirements.
Before joining Desktop Metal, Andrew worked at Foliage as a Principal Electrical Engineer from July 2010 to June 2017. Here, they designed and developed complex embedded products in the medical, industrial, and aerospace industries. Their responsibilities ranged from requirements generation to transfer to manufacturing, and they often acted as the primary technical contact for clients.
Prior to Foliage, Andrew worked at Cognex Corporation as an Electrical Engineer from 1996 to 2010. Andrew started their career at IBM, where they held the position of Senior Associate Engineer from September 1994 to September 1995.
Andrew Kuklinski obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their studies from 1987 to 1991. Andrew then pursued further education, earning a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1993. Following this, Andrew attended Stanford University where they obtained another Master's Degree, this time in Electrical Engineering, from 1993 to 1994.
