Dayu Huang currently serves as the Director of Digital Engineering at VulcanForms Inc., where responsibilities include developing the technology vision and roadmap for digital capabilities while leading a diverse team of engineers and data scientists. Previously, Dayu held key positions at VulcanForms, including Senior Manager of Digital and Machine Learning and Data Science Lead, focusing on advancing digital systems and building AI platforms. Before joining VulcanForms, Dayu gained significant experience at GE Research, leading R&D projects in data analytics for wind turbine lifecycle management and developing software for metallurgical statistical models. Dayu's early career included research intern roles at Alcatel-Lucent Bell-Labs and a research assistant position at Coordinated Science Laboratory, contributing to advancements in smart grid analytics and algorithm development. Dayu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as two master's degrees in Mathematics and Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor's in Information Electronics and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
