Ian Warner

Ian Warner is a seasoned legal and public policy professional, currently serving as the Director of Public Policy at Vulcan Real Estate since January 2023. Previously, at Zillow Group from 2018 to January 2023, Ian held the position of Senior Director of Public Policy, where responsibilities included formulating the company's public policy agenda and leading government relations strategies. Ian's experience also includes serving as Counsel to the Mayor and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Seattle from 2015 to 2018, advising on legal matters and successfully implementing a public records request response system. Earlier in Ian's career, work as an Associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP involved representing clients in various legal proceedings, and a role as a Criminal Investigator Fellow for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia provided foundational investigative experience. Ian holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Washington School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from Whitman College.
