Michael Koeris

Michael Koeris is the co-founder and CEO of Vulcan Biologics. Michael has also served as a member of YPO, The National Institutes of Health, Addgene, BiomX Inc, and Xeno Biosciences. In February 2015, they became a Fellow of SynBio LEAP, where they helped guide a socially responsible future for synthetic biology. In August 2011, they co-founded BiotechStart.org, and served as its Chairman of the Board of Directors until December 2018.

Michael Koeris is a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Michael earned their PhD in biomedical engineering from Boston University and is currently a visiting scientist in the field of biochemistry and biophysics at MIT. Michael holds an M.S. in biochemistry and biophysics from Freie Universität Berlin and is certified in Governing for Nonprofit Excellence from Harvard Business School.
