Damien Tresallet is a Materials Science Engineer and PhD with extensive experience in metallurgy and materials science. Currently employed at Vulkam since February 2020, Damien plays a key role in the industrialization of Vulkalloys®, which are poised to become a standard in the field. Prior to this, Damien worked as a PhD student at SIMAP in Grenoble, specializing in the microstructure of super-duplex stainless steels. A visiting PhD student at McMaster University, Damien focused on characterizing composition gradients in stainless steel interfaces. Previous positions include a research engineer trainee at CEA, where contributions were made to study diffusion welding for heat exchangers, as well as research trainee roles at the University of Patras, developing calcium phosphate bone cements. Damien's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Materials Science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques et Technologiques and a PhD from Université Grenoble Alpes.
