Yelena Markova, PharmD

Yelena Markova, PharmD has over 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Yelena is currently working as the Director of Educational Partnerships, Oncology at VuMedi since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at El Camino Health for 11 years, holding various roles including Contact Pharmacist for Oncology Clinical Trials, Lead Oncology Pharmacist, and Oncology Pharmacist/Pharmacist in Charge of Oncology Services. Yelena'sresponsibilities included enrolling patients in clinical studies, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing clinical dispensing documentation, responding to medical and drug information inquiries, and analyzing medical/scientific literature. Yelena also worked at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit as an Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant Pharmacist, and at Alta Bates Medical Group as the Pharmacist in Charge of Oncology Program and Clinical Pharmacist. Yelena started their career at Walgreens as a Pharmacist.

Yelena Markova, PharmD, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of San Francisco. Yelena also earned their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of the Pacific. In addition to their formal education, Yelena has obtained certifications in Pharmacogenomics from ASHP in June 2020 and Good Clinical Practice from the NIDA Clinical Trials Network, Department of Health and Human Services in April 2020.
