chuanhong Z.

Senior Optical Engineer at Vuzix

Chuanhong Z. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of optics and photonics. chuanhong started their career as a Postdoc at Tsinghua University, China, where they focused on the design and fabrication of holographic gratings. After that, they worked as an Associate Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In this role, they conducted research on photonic crystals, metamaterials, and plasmonic materials, and developed numerical methods to study the interaction of light with complex materials. chuanhong then moved on to become an Assistant Scientist at Southern Illinois University, where they investigated the use of microlens arrays for super resolution microscopy. Following this, they worked as a Research Scientist at Youngstown State University, where they furthered their research in the field. Currently, they are working as a Senior Optical Engineer at Vuzix Corporation.

Chuanhong Z. pursued their education in physics and optics. chuanhong earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Sichuan University, completing their studies between 1992 and 1996. Subsequently, they joined the same university to further deepen their expertise in the field and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) specializing in Optics/Optical Sciences from 1996 to 2001.
