VVOB
Maud Seghers currently serves as the Global Strategic Education Advisor for VVOB, where since September 2014, the focus has been on improving youth education and translating the organization's 2030 strategy into actionable goals for country programs. Prior to this role, Maud Seghers held multiple positions at VIA Don Bosco, including Senior Education Advisor and Executive Director, from January 2010 to September 2014. Additional experience includes serving as a Knowledge Management Specialist and Program Officer at the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) from September 2006 to December 2008. Maud Seghers obtained a degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, between 2002 and 2009.

VVOB – education for development is an international organisation with over 40 years’ experience in strengthening the quality of education systems in Africa, Asia and South America in close partnership with ministries of education and their institutions. Research shows that, of all school-based factors, the quality of teaching and school leadership has the biggest impact on learning outcomes of learners. As such, the professional development of teachers and school leaders is VVOB’s primary priority in ensuring quality education for all.
