Yuleysi Pena Hernandez

Yuleysi Pena Hernandez has six years of work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Medical Assistant at Vybe Urgent Care, a Student Administrative Assistant at Temple University: Wellness Resource Center, and a Student Mentor at Temple University. Additionally, they were a Student Intern at the Social Enrichment Center. In 2020, they started working as a Nutrition Aide at Jeanes Hospital. In 2017, they began their career as a Student Tutor at the Literacy Enrichment After-School Program, where they facilitated 2-3 children of primary school age with their homework, projects, and other assignments per hour, and hosted reading, science, and art activities and experiments weekly.

Yuleysi Pena Hernandez is currently enrolled in Temple University College of Public Health, where they are pursuing a degree in Public Health with a focus in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Prior to this, they obtained their High School Diploma from Community Academy of Philadelphia CS in 2019. In 2018, they also attended Community College of Philadelphia. In addition to their educational experience, Yuleysi has obtained several certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association in November 2022, Improving Cultural Competency for Behavioral Health Professionals from Think Cultural Health in September 2022, Peer Educator from NASPA Wellness and Health Promotion KC in April 2022, Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative from Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in January 2022, and Psychological First Aid Training from Temple University College of Liberal Arts in October 2020.
