Ian Olson

Ian Olson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ian started their career as a Legislative Aide at the Alaska State Legislature in April 1999. In July 1995, they joined Avalon Development Corp as a Junior Geologist, where they managed geotechnical crews and conducted fieldwork for gold exploration projects until September 1999. After that, they worked at the University of Alaska Fairbanks as the Vice Provost of Analysis and Planning from October 1999 to September 2018. Currently, they hold a position at VyStar Credit Union, where they have progressed through various roles. Ian started as a Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics in September 2018, became the Vice President of Advanced Analytics in December 2019, and is now serving as the Senior Vice President of Advanced Analytics since January 2023.

Ian Olson earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Business Administration and Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology and Mathematics from the same university between 1992 and 1997.
