Michael Bland

Michael Bland currently serves as the SVP Head of Learning & Development at VyStar Credit Union, where responsibilities include developing and executing strategies for learning and leadership development. Prior to this role, Michael was the Director of Organizational Learning & Development at Transamerica, focusing on establishing L&D strategies and managing learning delivery. With a prior tenure as Vice President at TIAA, Michael led the transformation of their learning function, emphasizing inclusion and proactive learning systems. Michael's extensive experience includes significant positions at Bank of America, where innovative learning initiatives were implemented, as well as ownership of an e-learning consultancy. A graduate of Southern Illinois University with additional education from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Cornell University ILR School, Michael's expertise encompasses workforce education, instructional design, and organizational development.
