Claire Badke, M.Ed has worked in the education field since 2011. Claire began their career as a Teacher for Chicago Public Schools. Claire then moved on to be a Classroom Instructor for Kirby School District #140 from 2012-2013. From 2013-2019, they were a 5th Grade Teacher for Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123, where they were able to measurably increase classroom engagement by integrating social-emotional learning and restorative justice practices with team building elements. During this time, they also experienced in facilitating conflict resolution to improve relations between the affected parties. From 2011-2022, they were the Head Junior Varsity Softball Coach for Marist High School Chicago. In 2019, they began working for Orland School District 135 as a 5th Grade Teacher, where they were a two time recipient of the 'Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Everyday' Award. Claire also participated in a district level, cross-functional committee that analyzed results of a staff-wide social emotional survey and developed an actionable plan to improve proficiency in employee satisfaction. In 2022, they moved on to work as a Business Development Manager for KRM22 and a Strategic Partnerships role for Vyv.
Claire Badke, M.Ed. has a comprehensive educational background. In 2002, they graduated from Marist High School Chicago with a High School Diploma. Claire then attended Eastern Illinois University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Cum Laude with Elementary Education endorsements in mathematics & middle school. In 2008, they attended The American University of Rome. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, they attended American College of Education, earning a Master of Education - MEd with a focus on Teaching English Learners.
