David Hughes

David Hughes has a diverse range of work experience in finance and corporate finance. David most recently served as the Head of Finance at W.BOYES & CO.,LIMITED since January 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at Thai Leisure Group from January 2016 to January 2020. In this role, they provided financial and strategic decision support for the company's hospitality business. Additionally, they managed the finance team and played a key role in cost reduction, cash management, and successful CVA and refinancing. Before their tenure at Thai Leisure Group, David worked at Garbutt + Elliott LLP from January 2006 to December 2015. David started in the Accountancy & Business Advisory role and then transitioned to the Corporate Finance department. During their time at Garbutt + Elliott, they specialized in financial modeling, strategic business planning, and provided support for SMEs on fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, and due diligence. David is a Certified Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of accounting practice experience.

David Hughes attended Bishop Stortford High School from 1991 to 1992. David then went on to Easingwold School, where they completed their secondary education from 1992 to 1996. Afterward, they pursued their higher education at FCCA - Kaplan Financial from 2004 to 2009, obtaining a degree in Accountancy with a focus on AAT & ACCA.
