Julie Adrian has more than two decades of experience in the commercialization of pharmaceutical products through the development and execution of integrated health care marketing communications programs. In her most recent role, she oversaw the European Communications group for Syneos Health and provided strategic counsel for integrated commercialization programs for pharmaceutical, biotech and device clients. She has extensive global P&L experience and leadership in change and innovation programs for multi-billion dollar companies, as well as start-ups.

Her work with Syneos Health includes global C-suite engagement to enhance corporate valuation and drive brand uptake for some of the most innovative and emergent health care companies in the sector. Leading teams to deliver impactful commercial solutions, the integrated European offering has supported full commercial and lab-to-life outsourcing engagements for start-ups to mid-size pharmaceutical clients.

Named as one of the top 25 women in health care in the UK by Pharmaceutical Marketing Executive magazine and included on the PharmaVoice100 list that celebrates people throughout the life sciences industry who provide inspiration to their peers, colleagues, and companies through their innovative and motivational approaches to addressing the industry’s myriad challenges. Julie is on the European Advisory Board for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and was a former President of the Southern California chapter. She also was named as one of that organization’s Rising Stars, honoring up-and-coming professionals in various sectors of the health care industry who have demonstrated noteworthy achievements and proven attention to furthering their careers.

Julie’s areas of expertise span from consumer health to disease awareness and from oncology to women’s health. Her experience includes strategy and execution in all phases of the product life cycle, including global and local strategy, patient education, employer programs, third-party relationship development and programs, sales representative and employee communications integration, professional medical education, issues management, clinical trial recruitment and corporate reputation management.

Prior to Syneos Health, Julie co-led the health care practice for Cohn & Wolfe in New York, as well as a four-year stint leading pharmaceutical product communications for Hoechst Marion Roussel – now Sanofi – as a member of the Commercial Leadership Team. Julie began her career in the community relations department at a non-profit, 400-bed hospital.
