Colin McKay

Colin McKay currently holds the position of Head of Canadian Policy and Public Relations at Waabi, starting in February 2024. McKay's extensive experience includes serving as a Board Member at the Institute on Governance from October 2018 to January 2025, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce from September 2016 to September 2023. Previously at Google, McKay was Head of Public Policy & Government Relations for Canada from April 2011 to August 2023, where significant achievements included managing the growth of the company's public policy efforts in line with substantial workforce and operational expansion. McKay also held roles on the boards of TECHNATION, the Canadian American Business Council, Media Smarts, and the Missing Children Society of Canada, and contributed to the Advisory Panel on Open Government. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in International Relations (Intelligence Studies) from the University of Toronto.
