Louise Poubel

Louise Poubel is a highly experienced software developer with a strong background in simulation and robotics. Currently serving as a Staff Software Developer at Waabi since August 2025, Louise previously held the position of Software Engineering Lead for Simulation at Zipline from September 2022 to August 2025. Prior roles include Software Engineering Supervisor and Gazebo Technical Lead at Open Robotics, where key contributions were made as a member of the Gazebo simulator's core development team and as a consultant for Gazebo's web client. Louise began a career in technology as an intern within GNOME's Outreach Program for Women, developing a mobile version of the Gazebo simulator. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Automation and Production Systems from Centrale Nantes, a Master of Engineering in Robotics and Control from Warsaw University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering from Chiba University. Additionally, Louise has experience as an English teacher, facilitating classes for young children.
