Chris Tatum

Chris Tatum is a seasoned news professional with extensive experience in broadcasting, currently serving as a Morning News Anchor at WAAY-TV since September 2021, where responsibilities include on-air presentation and content management in a supervisory role. Previous positions include Morning News Anchor at WJCL Television and Evening Anchor/Reporter at WABG TV. Tatum has also held roles as an Anchor/Reporter/Multimedia Journalist at WTVA TV and worked in public relations as Senior Publicist at PLA Media, President of anew pr, and Director of Communications at WellCity, Incorporated. With a career spanning over three decades, Tatum has developed strong media relationships, cultivated news sources, and maintained a robust social media presence while also mentoring young reporters and producing impactful news content.
