Josh Rayburn is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in digital content management and multimedia editing. Currently serving as Digital Content Manager at WAAY-TV since January 2019, Rayburn previously held multiple editorial roles at Savannah Morning News & savannahnow.com from August 2007 to December 2018, including Multimedia Content Editor and Metro Editor. Earlier in the career, Rayburn was the Executive News Editor at The Brunswick News from November 1999 to August 2007, starting as a reporter and advancing to the editorial position. Rayburn holds a degree in Journalism, with a focus on Magazine, News-Editorial, and Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in 1997.

WAAY 31 is the ABC affiliate in Huntsville-Decatur-Florence, AL and is part of Allen Media Broadcasting. WAAY 31 is North Alabama’s legacy station serving the region for almost 70-years. WAAY operates waaytv.com and airs This TV, ION, H&I and others from a transmitter at its Monte Sano Boulevard studios on top of Monte Sano Mountain, one of the most beautiful views in the area. WAAY 31 has been honored by the Alabama Broadcasters Association as Alabama’s 2022 Station of the Year. WAAY 31 is home to the nation’s largest privately owned radar network featuring three radars strategically placed from border to border across North Alabama.
