Joan Soller

Joan Soller has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Joan is currently the Director of Grid Innovation & Portfolio Integration at Wabash Valley Power Alliance. Prior to this, they worked at Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) as a Consulting Advisor for Strategic Planning and then as the Director of Stakeholder Affairs & Client Services and Readiness. Before joining MISO, Joan served as the Director of External Affairs Central Region at Midcontinent Independent System Operator. Joan also held various roles at Indianapolis Power & Light Company, including Director of Resource Planning, Manager of Transmission Operations, Manager of Corporate Planning, and Senior Regulatory Analyst. Earlier in their career, Joan worked at the State of Indiana, Office of Utility Consumer Counselor as the Director of Resource Planning and Telecommunications/Electricity Divisions. Joan began their career at Hendricks Power Cooperative as the Manager of Engineering and also gained experience at Dayton Power and Light Co. in various engineering positions.

Joan Soller pursued their education in a consistent manner, starting with their Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) degree from the University of Dayton, which they earned between 1983 and 1987. After gaining industry experience, they decided to enhance their skillset by pursuing an MBA at the University of Indianapolis - School of Business from 2009 to 2013.
