Matthew Pepper is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in locomotive control systems and simulation environments. Currently serving as the Locomotive Controls Simulation Manager at Wabtec Corporation since June 2019, Matthew leads a team in developing real-time simulation solutions for embedded software testing. Previously, Matthew held key roles at GE Transportation, including Controls SW Application Team Lead and Application Implementation Lead, where responsibilities included software development and requirements management for embedded systems. An academic background includes a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University, where Matthew contributed as a graduate researcher and teaching assistant, alongside early career experience as a Shuttle Robotics Instructor at United Space Alliance, training astronauts on robotic systems for the Space Shuttle.
