Owais Mapara

Owais Mapara is a Senior Engineer in the Control Electronics Hardware Design Group at Wabtec Corporation, where responsibilities include leading engineering efforts for battery management system hardware design for Battery Electric Locomotives since February 2019. Prior experience includes serving as an Engineering Technical Leader at GE from January 2001 to February 2019, where contributions involved leading hardware design for embedded systems, including SoC and microcontroller applications, and developing CPU cards for locomotive use. Earlier roles included positions at Mobilink, focusing on GSM network RF optimization, as well as system design at Data Communications and Control. Owais Mapara holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
