Serkan Gitmez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management and engineering within the transportation sector. Currently serving as Senior Product Manager at Wabtec Corporation since May 2019, Serkan previously held multiple roles at GE Transportation beginning in August 2003, including Engineering Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing a team that focused on locomotive Onboard Information and systems connectivity, as well as overseeing the design of train control, air brake, and human-machine interface systems for various train applications. Serkan's foundational experience includes roles as Engineering Team Leader and Design Engineer, with a strong emphasis on designing and validating control algorithms for locomotive and cooling systems as part of the Edison Engineering Leadership Program.
