Stephen Pelkowski, PE, MSEE, MSME, MBA has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and technology fields. Stephen is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology at Wabtec Corporation since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Professional Engineer at Pelkowski Engineering LLC starting in 2014.

Before joining Pelkowski Engineering, Stephen had a long tenure at GE, where they held various executive roles. Stephen was the Executive Controls & Software Manager from 2017 to 2019, where they were responsible for budgeting, staffing, and business commitments. Stephen successfully improved delivery and quality in the organization. From 2016 to 2017, Stephen served as the Executive Reliability Manager, overseeing recovery plans for locomotive failures. From 2014 to 2016, they held the position of Executive Engineering Manager for Tier 4 Locomotive and was responsible for systems design, electrical integration, verification and validation, production support, and continuous improvement. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Engineering Manager for Locomotive Systems from 2009 to 2014, managing various engineering functions and leading the Technology team.

Before GE, Stephen worked at Keithley Instruments as a Staff Engineer in 1997 and at NASA Glenn Research Center as a Research Assistant from 1995 to 1996.

Overall, Stephen Pelkowski has extensive experience in engineering management, systems design, reliability, and technology leadership.

Stephen Pelkowski has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, obtained in 1998. Stephen then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University, which they completed between 2000 and 2002. In 2002, they enrolled at Gannon University again and obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering by 2003. Stephen further expanded their education by acquiring a Masters in Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, which they successfully completed between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, they have obtained a Professional Engineer certification from the PA Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in 2013.
