Josie Gutierrez

Josie Gutierrez currently serves as Deputy Superintendent at Waco ISD, a position held since February 2020, and previously served as Assistant Superintendent at the same district. Prior to this role, Josie Gutierrez was a National Consultant with UVA School Turnaround, Proactive Leaders, LLC, from November 2013 to February 2020, and held the position of Assistant Superintendent at Dallas ISD from July 2012 to November 2013, where responsibilities included leading and supervising 62 schools and assisting with systemic transformation efforts to improve student achievement. Josie Gutierrez holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of North Texas, and has also pursued education at Texas Christian University.
