Melissa de Raaij

Melissa de Raaij is an experienced advisor specializing in water and nature at OAK consultants since September 2021. Melissa actively participates as a Wadgids UNESCO World Heritage excursion guide at Waddenvereniging since April 2020, conducting tours on tidal flats. As a co-founder of The Train Traveller, Melissa promotes sustainable slow travel across Europe and concurrently writes as a freelance travel blogger and photographer for Travel Diaries. Previous roles include a green trainee at Stichting Het Zuid-Hollands Landschap, research at ICCO Cooperation and Ecosystem Kickstarter, and various academic positions at Wageningen University & Research. Melissa holds a Master's degree in International Development from Wageningen University & Research and is furthering education in Business Leadership at UNLP.
