Romesh Wadhwani

Romesh Wadhwani has an extensive work experience, with a focus on entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Romesh is the Chairman and Founder of SAIGroup since 2022 and SymphonyAI since 2017, where they lead the development of enterprise AI software for various industries. Romesh is also the Chairman of ConcertAI, a SAIGroup company, since 2017, aiming to accelerate insights for patients through real-world data and AI technologies. Additionally, Wadhwani founded and chairs the Wadhwani Foundation, which focuses on social initiatives. Romesh is the Founder of Wadhwani AI, a nonprofit research institute, since 2018, dedicated to developing AI solutions for social good. In the past, they served as the CEO and Founder of Symphony Technology Group from 2002 to 2016 and held various leadership roles in companies like Aspect Development Inc. and American Robot Corporation. Wadhwani is also active in the board of trustees for organizations like the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Romesh Wadhwani earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1971. Romesh also obtained a Master of Science (MS) in an unspecified field of study from the same university in 1970. In 2018, they received an Honorary Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Additionally, Wadhwani holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
