Alison Parman is the Exhibitions & Publications Manager at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. Alison has a long history of working in the arts, beginning with an internship at the Wadsworth Atheneum in 2011. There, they indexed audio visual material and created a searchable collection from unstructured group of photographs, tapes, DVD’s, and CD’s. In 2017, they took an internship at the Dudley Farm Museum where they primarily assisted with collections management, including accessions, cataloging, data entry, and a collections assessment. Alison has also worked as a receptionist/clerk at Wildwood Pediatrics and as a Bakery Clerk at ShopRite. In their most recent position before becoming the Exhibitions & Publications Manager, they were a Temporary Office Assistant at Connecticut Water.
Alison Parman has a Master’s Degree in Art Theirtory from the University of Oregon and a BFA in Art Theirtory from the University of Connecticut. Alison also attended Middlesex Community College in Middletown, CT.
Their manager is Linda Roth, Director of Special Curatorial Projects. They are on a team with Mark Giuliano - Exhibition Designer, Vanessa Sigalas - Associate Curator for Collections Research, and Oliver Tostmann - Susan Morse Hilles Curator of European Art.
