Emma Cameron is currently the Associate Registrar at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. Prior to their current position, they served as the Assistant Registrar at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston from October 2017 to June 2021. Emma began their museum career as a Collections Management Volunteer at The Menil Collection in September 2016 and then as a Chapel Host at The Rothko Chapel in April 2016. In January 2015, they completed a work placement at the Glasgow School of Art's Archives and Collections Centre. From January 2014 to May 2014, they interned at Daniel Wolf Inc. and then at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston's Registrar's Office as a Graduate Intern from June 2014 to August 2014. In May 2013, Emma was selected as the Lunder Summer Intern of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where they worked until August 2013. Her first internship was in Christie's Southeast Asian and Indian Art Department in January 2012 where they worked until May 2012. Emma also served as an Archives Assistant at Sarah Lawrence College from September 2010 to May 2014.
Emma Cameron has a Master of Letters from the University of Glasgow in Technical Art Emma'story: Making and Meaning. Emma also has a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Art Emma'story and Museum Studies. Emma participated in a study abroad program in Florence, Italy where they studied Italian, Art Restoration, and Art Emma'story at Sarah Lawrence. Emma has a high school diploma from Kents Hill School.
