Dmitry Golovanov

Dmitry Golovanov is an experienced engineer specializing in motor control and drives, with a strong background in embedded systems programming, electromagnetic design, and electric powertrain testing. Currently an engineer at WAE since September 2021, Dmitry has previously held roles as a research fellow at The University of Nottingham, focusing on advanced electrical machines for aerospace and automotive applications, and as a senior engineer at Samsung SDI, where development and testing of Li-ion battery technologies were key responsibilities. Dmitry's earlier positions include researcher roles at VNIIEM Corporation JSC and the Moscow Aviation Institute, where significant contributions were made to the fields of electromechanical energy converters and cryogenics electric machines. Dmitry holds a Master of Science in Control Systems of Motion and Navigation and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the Moscow Aviation Institute.
