James Weichel

James Weichel is an experienced banking professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Texas Regional President and Texas Retail Division Manager at WaFd Bank since February 2020, Weichel has held various leadership roles throughout their career, including Business Banker and Community Bank Manager at Mutual of Omaha Bank, and Banking Center Manager/Business Banking Specialist at Regions Bank. Prior experience includes managing banking centers at American National Bank of Texas, Guaranty Bank, and Bank of America. Weichel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University and has further education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
