Kisho Watanabe

Vice President, Alternative Investments at Wafra Inc.

Kisho Watanabe has a strong background in alternative investments and legal work. In 2010, they interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office as a Legal Intern. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at The Frankel Group, starting as an Associate and later being promoted to Senior Associate. During this period, The Frankel Group was acquired by Huron Consulting Group. In 2015 and 2016, they served as a Summer Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz respectively. In 2017, they became an Associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and stayed in that role until January 2023. Starting from January 2023, they are currently working at Wafra as the Vice President of Alternative Investments.

Kisho Watanabe has a diverse education history. Kisho obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at Yale University, majoring in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology. During their earlier education, they attended the Horace Mann School. Additionally, Kisho Watanabe received a Diploma from The Juilliard School, specifically from their Pre-College Division.
