Maki Hattori

Maki Hattori is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and investment operations. Since September 2015, Maki has been serving as the Head of IR & Marketing and CSR as well as the Head of Risk Management and CSR at Wafra, overseeing risk monitoring across investment functions and leading a team to implement a comprehensive enterprise risk program. Prior to Wafra, Maki held the position of Risk Control Officer at AllianceBernstein, where responsibilities included chairing the Error Review Committee and managing global operational risk governance. Earlier experience includes a role as a Japanese Sales/NYSE News Reporter at FXDD, assisting retail and institutional clients while reporting from the NYSE. Maki holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Regulation and Risk Management from Sciences Po and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and French horn performance from the University of Southern California.
