Project Development Director at Waga Energy

Bryan Johnson has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy and waste management sectors. Bryan recently joined Waga Energy as a Project Development Director, where they partner with landfills to capture methane emissions and convert them into renewable natural gas. Before that, they worked at NOWON as a Vice President of Technical Sales, providing technical expertise for anaerobic digestion projects. Bryan also served as a Senior Business Development Manager at Organics Group, focusing on renewable energy, waste management, and wastewater treatment projects in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Bryan has experience in developing lagoon-based anaerobic digestion projects, landfill gas to electricity projects, and ammonia recovery systems. Prior to that, Bryan was a Business Development Manager at EGG-energy, where they worked on sustainable energy solutions for off-grid Tanzanians. Bryan began their career in economic development with the Peace Corps, managing Fair Trade Certification and supporting coffee production processes for agriculture cooperatives.

Bryan Johnson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. Bryan also pursued post-graduate studies in Sustainable Energy at The University of Queensland. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Solid Waste Management from The World Bank.
