Kathryn C. Roeder

Kathryn C. Roeder serves as the Executive Chief of Staff and Director of Communications at the Port of Seattle since August 2016, overseeing operations that support nearly 200,000 jobs and generate $7 billion in wages within the region. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Vice President at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, where advisory services focused on public affairs strategy for Fortune 500 clients, and as a Partner at Blue Engine Message & Media, where client management and business development efforts contributed to significant firm growth. Previously, Kathryn operated Roeder Communications, managing international media relations for key political figures, and held roles at NDI, SS+K, John Kerry for President, AFL-CIO, and as Press Secretary for Congressman Robert T. Matsui. Education was completed at the University of California, Berkeley, and El Camino.
