Gwendoline Keel serves as the General Manager of Governance and Legal and Punenga a Ture (General Counsel) at Waikato-Tainui since January 2018, overseeing the governance and legal framework of a group dedicated to enhancing the capacity of iwi, hapuu, marae, and tribal members. Previously, Gwendoline held senior associate positions in the commercial and corporate teams at Simpson Grierson and Tompkins Wake from 2009 to 2018. Academic qualifications include a Master of Information Governance from The University of Auckland (2021-2024), certificates in Te Ara Reo Maaori from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (2019-2021), a Certificate in Animal Welfare Investigations from Unitec (2005), and an LLB/BA from The University of Auckland (1991-1995).
