Andy Keiller

Andy Keiller has a comprehensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. Andy is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Waimakariri District Council since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director and Principal Consultant at Algren Consulting from December 2019 to December 2020.

From 2010 to 2019, Andy held various positions at the University of Canterbury, including Chief Information Officer, Acting Chief Information Officer, and IT Operations and Infrastructure Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for developing IT strategy and leading functions such as IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, Server and Network support, security, and data center.

Before joining the University of Canterbury, Andy worked at Fife Council as a Service Manager from 2008 to 2010 and as a Team Leader in Consultancy Services from 1998 to 2001. Andy also has previous experience at Fife Regional Council as a Team Leader in Software Development from 1995 to 1998.

Andy Keiller completed their education at the Dundee Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a BSc in Applied Mathematics. Prior to that, they attended Whitfield High School from 1977 to 1983. In addition to their formal education, Andy has obtained various certifications in fields such as cloud computing, design thinking, digital leadership, and strategic agility from LinkedIn in 2020.
