Dr Dayeon Lee

Dr. Dayeon Lee is a Medical Doctor at Health New Zealand, actively engaged in multidisciplinary teams focused on acute inpatient clinical practice since January 2023. With experience as a PGY1 House Officer in various medical fields, Dr. Lee also holds a fellowship with Startmate as part of the Autumn 2023 Women Fellowship program. Additionally, Dr. Lee is a member of several leadership networks, including the Asia New Zealand Foundation and Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ, and serves as a Global Shaper under the World Economic Forum. Previous roles include Senior Health Economics Researcher and Clinical Health Advisor, contributing to health policy and telemedicine during the COVID-19 response. Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Auckland and has a background in Population Health.

Health New Zealand - Waitemata serves the largest regional population in the New Zealand - more than 650,000 people. Waitemata employs around 9,000 people in more than 30 different locations serving residents of Auckland’s North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney districts. We also have Mental Health facilities based in Manukau thru to Warkworth. Waitemata operates North Shore Hospital, on the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, and Waitakere Hospital in West Auckland.
