Geoff Goodwin has extensive experience in financial management and leadership across various sectors, particularly in health organizations. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Waitematā District Health Board since May 2020, Geoff leads a team of 26 and provides mentorship to the Provider Finance team while deputizing for the CFO as needed. Previous roles include Chief Financial Officer at Co-op Money NZ, where responsibilities encompassed maintaining financial records, asset management, and overseeing risk and compliance; and GM Corporate Services at NZ Health Partnerships, focusing on financial, risk, and statutory compliance. Additional experience spans key finance roles at Health Benefits Ltd, TOWER, and various managerial positions in transport and housing sectors. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from The University of Auckland.

Health New Zealand - Waitemata serves the largest regional population in the New Zealand - more than 650,000 people. Waitemata employs around 9,000 people in more than 30 different locations serving residents of Auckland’s North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney districts. We also have Mental Health facilities based in Manukau thru to Warkworth. Waitemata operates North Shore Hospital, on the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, and Waitakere Hospital in West Auckland. It provides emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, community health and mental health services locally within its district as well as a range of services for the Auckland region, including child rehabilitation and respite at Takapuna’s Wilson Centre, forensic psychiatric services at the Mason Clinic in Point Chevalier, oral health services for children and young people from multiple locations through the Auckland Regional Dental Service and Community Alcohol and Drug Services.
