Dr. Judy Blakey MNZM PhD has a diverse professional background as a community advisor and age-friendly advocate, with experience in various roles including strategic networking and serving on the Seniors Advisory Panel for Auckland Council since its inception in 2014. Dr. Blakey is currently a board member for Comprehensive Care PHO and a health consumer representative for Waitemata District Health Board, while also having held advisory roles for organizations such as Precision Driven Health and the Health Quality & Safety Commission. Additional experience includes chairing the Board of Trustees at Mairangi Arts Centre and facilitating community groups focused on older individuals. Dr. Blakey's educational background includes advanced degrees in psychology, social science research, and education from esteemed institutions such as the University of Cape Town and Massey University.

Health New Zealand - Waitemata serves the largest regional population in the New Zealand - more than 650,000 people. Waitemata employs around 9,000 people in more than 30 different locations serving residents of Auckland’s North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney districts. We also have Mental Health facilities based in Manukau thru to Warkworth. Waitemata operates North Shore Hospital, on the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, and Waitakere Hospital in West Auckland. It provides emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, community health and mental health services locally within its district as well as a range of services for the Auckland region, including child rehabilitation and respite at Takapuna’s Wilson Centre, forensic psychiatric services at the Mason Clinic in Point Chevalier, oral health services for children and young people from multiple locations through the Auckland Regional Dental Service and Community Alcohol and Drug Services.
