Johani Mamid

Johani Mamid is a proud Karajarri, Nyul Nyul, Bardi, and Yawuru individual currently managing their own Aboriginal tourism business, Mabu Buru Tours, which offers guests insights into the cultural practices of the West Kimberley region. They also serve as a Crocodile Wrangler at the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and are a Board Member of the Western Australia Indigenous Tourism Operator Council (WAITOC). Previously, Johani held the role of Country Manager Coordinator with Nyamba Buru Yawuru and has contributed to various leadership initiatives, including the Kimberley Aboriginal Young Leaders Program and the Australian Rural Leadership Program. As the Managing Director of the Mabu Buru Foundation, Johani focuses on preserving Aboriginal lore and culture.
