Hans van Dam has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership positions. Hans most recently served as the CFO at Wajer Yachts starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the CFO at CleanLease from 2020 to 2023, where they managed financial operations and oversaw the cleaning and leasing of high-quality textile.
From 2018 to 2020, Hans van Dam was the CFO of Parenco, a paper production and recovered paper collection company acquired by Smurfit Kappa Group. Hans played a key role in integrating the business into Smurfit Kappa and delivering significant synergies.
Before joining Parenco, they held the position of CFO at Parenco & Reparenco Holding from 2014 to 2018. Hans was responsible for financial management and strategic decision-making in the paper production industry.
Hans van Dam gained valuable experience at Heineken, where they held several finance positions. From 2007 to 2014, they served as the Supply Chain Finance Manager for both the Western Europe region and Heineken Netherlands. During their tenure, they managed financial control, strategy development, and cost optimization.
Prior to their roles at Heineken, they worked at Vrumona, a soft drink company, as the Finance Manager from 2004 to 2007. Here, they focused on improving business performance and leading the control and IT team.
Hans van Dam began their career at The HEINEKEN Company, where they held various positions, including Brewery Controller, Manager Planning & Control Corporate Marketing, and Systems Engineer Process Optimization. Hans successfully implemented SAP, optimized costs, and led performance improvement projects during their time at the company.
Hans van Dam completed their VWO education at RSG Heerenveen from 1979 to 1985. In this period, they studied subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Dutch, and English. Later, from 1985 to 1992, they attended the University of Twente, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. Lastly, between 2000 and 2004, Hans pursued an Executive Master program at the University of Amsterdam, focusing on Finance and Control, specifically the RC-opleiding.
